Luis Sotelo hired as Chief Diversity Officer

Doane University announced today in a press release that President Jacque Carter has hired Luis Sotelo as Chief Diversity Officer and Special Assistant to the President for Diversity and Inclusion.

According to press release, Sotelo formerly worked as Vice President of the Public Library Board of Trustees in Lexington, Neb. He also worked as the speech coach at Lexington High School and is a Bilingual College Planning Specialist for Education Quest.

Sotelo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science. He has also received an Inspiration Award from the Nebraska Latino Commission for service and leadership in Nebraska schools and communities.
