Tough loss for Men’s Basketball in 2nd conference game

On Nov. 23, the Men’s Basketball team played their second conference game against Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa. Morningside ran up the score and the Tigers were unable to mount any meaningful comeback, losing 50-100. Doane’s conference record is starting flatfooted, as the Tigers’ conference record is 0-2, while their overall record for the season is 4-3. However, the Tigers plan on bouncing back.

Key players in the loss were sophomore Jack Wilson, who scored 19 points — a strong performance for Wilson despite the defeat. Two players got five rebounds during the game: junior Casen Chaney and freshman Glavine McDonald. Finally, junior Brayden Wampler-Foust dished out two assists.

The next game the Doane Tigers will play is against Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, on Nov. 26. The game will start at 3 p.m.
