On Nov. 26 the Men’s Wrestling team traveled to Seward, Nebraska, to take on Briar Cliff University where they were able to walk away with a victory with the final score being 40-9.
In the 125, freshman Brian Peck had a final score of 0-6. In the 133, junior Matthew Terrence had a final score of 6-6. Junior Devin Avedissian, who was in the 141 weight class, had a final score of 11-6, while senior Nate Lendt had a final score of 21-6 in the 149 weight class.
Having a final score of 21-6 in the 157 was junior Ben Miller, while in the 165 was junior Cooper Spaulding who had a final score of 24-6. In the 174 was senior Benjamin Dobler who had a final score of 29-6, while senior Tyson Beauperthuy had a final score of 34-6 in the 184. In the 197 was senior Bradley Antesberger who had a final score of 40-6, and finishing up for the Tigers was sophomore Eli Criblez who had a final score of 40-9 in the 285.
Later in the day, the Tigers took on Northwestern College where they also walked away with a victory with the final score of 47-0.
In the 125 was Peck who had a final score of 6-0, along with Terrence in the 133 whose final score was 11-0. In the 141 was junior Tristen Brown who finished with a score of 14-0, and in the 149 was freshman Kaihikapukalaimoku Cobb-Adams who had a final score of 17-0.
In the 157 was Miller who had a final score of 23-0, and in the 165 was junior Edward Ramirez who had a final score of 27-0. Competing in the 174 was junior Chase Stieb who finished with a score of 33-0, and Beauperthuy finished with a score of 38-0 in the 184. In the 197 was senior Kasten Grape who had a final score of 41-0, and in the 285 was Criblez who finished with a final score of 47-0.
On Dec. 7, the Men’s and Women’s Wrestling teams will be competing in the Conner/Oppenheim Doane Open at Fuhrer Field House starting at 9 a.m.
