On Jan. 26, the Men’s Basketball team played an away conference game against Dakota Wesleyan. In a tight match, the Tigers ended up losing by a very close score, 58-54. Doane’s conference record is 4-9, while the general overall for the season is 9-12. The team will try to improve its results as the end of the season approaches and hopes to finish strong, especially in the conference.
A key player in the loss was freshman Glavine McDonald, who scored 15 points—a strong performance for McDonald despite the defeat. Apart from that, the game featured a good performance by senior Brady Timm, who got six rebounds and three assists during the game.
The next game the Doane Tigers will play is against Mount Marty, in Yankton, South Dakota, on Jan. 29. The game will start at 7:45 p.m.
