On Jan. 26, the Women’s Basketball team played a conference game against Dakota Wesleyan University. The Tigers couldn’t achieve a new victory and lost with a fairly tight result, 66-55.
The general overall record for the team is 13-7 and the overall record for the conference is 8-6. Despite the defeat, the results are still positive.
In spite of the tough defeat, several players stood out with impressive performances. The leading scorer, senior Maddie Portwine, had 20 points in the game. Seniors Macy Holtz and Mak Hatcliff grabbed five rebounds. Junior Libby Trausch and again Holtz got two assists.
On Jan. 29, the Doane Women’s Basketball team will play an away conference game against Mount Marty. The team will try to put this defeat behind them and get back to winning ways.
