This past weekend was probably one of the best weekends of the year, when it comes to sports: the Super Bowl. For the one person who doesn’t know, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles competed at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Throughout the game, I found myself not watching the actual game but instead scrolling through TikTok because it was the most boring Super Bowl that I have ever watched. The commercials weren’t really funny at all, the scoreboard was awful and the only highlights were the Chiefs getting beat (sorry to all the Chiefs fans) and the halftime show.
The halftime show is definitely one of the top halftime shows the Super Bowl has had. Kendrick Lamar was absolutely amazing, SZA was an absolute queen and the symbolism and meaning of the show was killing it. The clown car was something that I related to very much.
Probably one of the funniest things was when they were showing all the different celebrities on the jumbotron and when they showed Taylor Swift everyone was booing. No offense to the Swifties, I just think that was funny.
I will say the one commercial that I thought was the best was the Nike one, mainly because it was talking about women in sports. But all in all I am very happy with the way the Super Bowl turned out, and if you are really upset about it there is always next year.
