The Doane Owl, Feb. 11, 2025

According to Audubon.org, not all owls make a hooting sound. The calls of the Eastern Screech-Owl, for instance, sound like a horse’s whinny (listen). The sounds made by the Doane Owl have changed over time: it used to crinkle, snap, and crease; now it clicks, clacks, and scrolls. Our mission, though, remains the same: to deliver high-quality student journalism to the Doane and Crete communities. Let us know how we can serve you better, and thank you for reading this week’s issue. We are grateful for your support!
