Baseball goes 2-2 against Concordia

On March 22, the Baseball team took on Concordia University at home for a two-day four-game weekend.

Starting with their first game, in the second inning, the Bulldogs got a home run which brought the score to 0-1, but in the bottom of the second, junior Dane Kelsey tied up the game.

Fast forward to the bottom of the seventh, senior Aaron Vulcano scored the final run of the game, bringing the final score to 2-1.

Transitioning into their second game of the day, the Bulldogs got another home run in the top of the second. However, at the bottom of the second, sophomore Max Harris scored, tying up the game 1-1.

At the bottom of the third hitting a home run was Kelsey, with returning senior Justin Nevells also hitting a homer in the bottom of the sixth. Also adding a run in the sixth was A. Vulcano, making the score 4-1.

But in the top of the seventh and ninth, the Bulldogs would add eight runs which brought the final score to 4-9.

Going into March 23, the Tigers had two more games against the Bulldogs. At the top of the first and second, the Bulldogs would add eight runs, making the score 0-8.

However, in the bottom of the second, A. Vulcano would hit a home run, along with Harris scoring in the bottom of the third. Adding two more runs in the bottom of the fourth was A. Vulcano and junior Jordan Bond, making the score 4-8.

At the top of the fifth, the Bulldogs would add two more runs before switching back over to the Tigers for A. Vulcano scored another run, making the score 5-10. Adding two more runs in the bottom of the sixth were senior Logan Amick and junior Sam Kwapnioski, bringing the score to 7-10.

Going into the top of the seventh, the Bulldogs would be adding four runs to the final score, making it 7-14.

Transitioning into their final game against the Bulldogs, where in the nine-inning game, the Tigers walked out scoreless making the score 0-10.

Next up, the Tigers will be traveling to Sioux City, Iowa, to take on Briar Cliff University on March 28, then traveling to Mitchell, South Dakota, to take on Dakota Wesleyan University on March 29.
