On March 17, the eSports team walked into their final week of the regular season with the Valorant team taking on UABESA Vortex. The Valorant team consists of freshmen Alan Fick, sophomores Jackson Finner and Theo Jones, junior Natalee Koedouangdy and senior Avery Martin. The team walked away with a loss with a score of 0-2, bringing their record to 1-5.
Next up was the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate took on the University of North Dakota Black team on March 18.
The Super Smash Bros.Ultimate team consists of freshmen Ryan Burton and Caleb Panning, sophomores Gabriel Medina, Emmanuel Media and Jones, junior Giovanni Gastaneda and senior Jax Stander, where they walked away with a 2-0 victory, which brings their record to 3-4, a much-needed win as the team hopes to return to an even record.
Switching over to the Rocket League Orange and Black teams, the Orange team took on UARK Black team on March 19 and Morningside University Mustangs on March 20. Whereas the Black team took on Briar Cliff University on March 17 and Clark Pride Navy on March 20.
The Rocket League teams consist of freshmen Austin Manning, sophomores Todd Martin, Nathan Shupe, Dami Obakoya, Jerson Calderon, juniors Jordan Kwiakowski and Winston Sears and senior Trey Krueger.
The Orange team had a 3-2 victory over the UARK Black team, but accepted defeat against the Mustangs, with the score being 0-3. Also, the Black team accepted defeat by both the Chargers, with a final score of 0-3 and Clark Pride Navy, with a score of 1-3. This brings the Orange team’s record to 2-5, whereas the Black team had a record of 1-6.
Finishing up for the Tigers was the Overwatch team who took on Wayne State College Varsity on March 20, and Concordia University on March 21.
The Overwatch team consisted of freshmen Chance Mock, Thure Johnson, Davis Wilson, Joshua Brown, Ben Wright, Alan Fick, sophomore Sam Hartman, junior Rafael Garcia and senior Jose Purizaca, where they accepted defeat by Wayne State with the score being 0-3, along with a 3-0 victory over Concordia, making their record 5-2.
