As the 2025 spring semester comes to a close in just a few weeks, housing applications and deadlines are at the forefront of students’ minds. The deadline for housing applications for the 2025 fall semester was midnight on March 23.
Students who missed this deadline will be assigned on-campus housing and charged the full price. Additionally, those who missed the deadline will not be able to participate in the housing lottery and will be unable to choose their room. Students can check their housing application status through Doane’s ErezLife website
This upcoming semester, students with 90 or more credits will automatically receive $1,700 off housing or dining per semester. This initiative is aimed at encouraging upperclassmen to live on campus with a total of $3,400 off for the entire academic year.
Students can also update their meal plans and roommate groups on ErezLife. For information regarding special housing needs or emotional support animals, please contact the Director of Disability Services at accessibility@doane.edu.
The room selection process will take place on April 8 and 9. Students can expect to receive an email with their official housing selection time and date. Single rooms are available in Frees Hall, and a waitlist for single rooms can be found on ErezLife under the forms tab. It’s important to note that anyone interested in a single room must still participate in the housing lottery. The status of this application will be communicated at the end of the semester.
Summer housing is broken up into several blocks at Frees Hall. Block one takes place from May 19 to June 1 and will cost students $250. Block two is from June 26 to July 31 and costs $250. Staying for both blocks adds up to $500. Payments are due May 26 and are a flat rate, meaning if a student only stays for part of a block they will still pay the full amount.
