SPB hosts “The Price is What?” for Dine:09

On the evening of April 5, the Student Programming Board (SPB), Residential Life and Health & Wellness departments organized a new Dine:09 game show event for Doane students. This event took place in Lakeside and featured the comedian Derrick Knopsnyder as a host. This show was about using your shopping savvy to guess everyday items to win $200 in cash prizes.

In anticipation of a night full of laughs, healthy competition and significant victories, students flocked to the Lakeside with curiosity and excitement. This interactive version, which drew inspiration from the iconic game show “The Price Is Right,” asked viewers to guess the cost of everyday objects.

Throughout the evening, Knopsnyder’s great energy and sense of humor kept the audience interested and entertained. Everyone was cheering because of his quick humor and audience involvement, which produced a lively scene. More than just a chance to win money, the event provided an opportunity to socialize with classmates, take a free time from coursework and laugh in a lighthearted environment. Students relished the excitement of seeing their peers take center stage, showcasing their ability to anticipate prices and vie for the top prize.

The success of the game show night demonstrated the ingenuity and cooperation of the SPB, Residential Life and Health & Wellness departments. As the Dine:09 series progresses, students may anticipate more distinctive, enjoyable events that unite the campus community.
