On Jan 23. a range of different clubs and student organizations gathered together in the Dining Hall with the intention to gain a couple of new members and share what they are doing. Club Craze is a great opportunity for students to explore all the different things on campus along with question what clubs are currently working on. This semester, Doane Student Programming Board (SPB) thought it would be a great idea to hold Club Craze during dinner hours with the goal of gaining more people than in the lower level of Perry.
“This was my first ever Club Craze so I think the dining hall is a great place to have it because there’s a lot of traffic with students and it’s nice to remind students of what activities and clubs are out there during the semesters,” Director of Health and Wellness Andreea Baker said.
Along with meeting different clubs, SPB also had bingo cards that students could fill out in order to win a Doane Nike Bag along with other prizes as well.
Some of the clubs that made an appearance were People for the Rights of Individuals of Sexual Minorities (PRISM), the Kindness Project, Student Congress, along with many other organizations. Junior Rowan Jolkowski, the president of PRISM, thinks that this event has a much better turnout in the fall rather than the winter.
“It’s a great way to remind students, it’s also a great way to talk to people about these especially if they’re thinking about joining it but don’t have the time to do it this semester they can potentially do it next semester,” Jolkowski said.
Although the turnout of Club Craze this semester was not huge, the students who did attend found out more information about the different clubs around campus.
Students interested in any of the clubs at Club Craze can reach out to any of the clubs via email or by attending any of their meetings.
