Amazing Race brings fortune

On Oct. 16, Doane Campus Engagement hosted “The Amazing Race,” scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. A variety of students gathered lakeside to compete in the highly anticipated event of the week. The race involved pairs of students running to different stations across campus, where they had to complete challenges, trivia, and games to move forward. The winners would receive $500 in prizes.

Highlights of the event included one partner running blindfolded across campus while guided by their teammate, unscrambling words or phrases related to Doane, and even popping a balloon using their partner. “The teams all had a great time racing across campus, and every single team completed the race,” event organizer and junior Emma Jenkins said.

The top three teams showcased impressive effort, with juniors Jake Parsley and Will Dawes taking first place and winning the $500 prize. Freshman Porter Bickley and Jayden Wall followed closely in second place, while junior Mackenzy Gipson and senior Ethan Reinert secured third place. The event was filled with excitement and friendly competition, creating memorable experiences for all participants.
