Women’s Track improves marks

On Jan. 24, the Tigers traveled to Lincoln to compete in the Prairie Wolf Indoor Invitational.

Starting off with the 60m dash, the Tigers had freshman RaeAnn Thompson, who had a time of 7.92, which placed her sixth. Thompson also ran in the 200m, where she placed first with a time of 25.98. Also running in the 200m was junior Morgan Mahoney, who placed fifth with a time of 26.22.

In the 60m hurdles was junior Josie Garrett, who placed second with a time of 8.71, along with sophomore Chaney Nelson, who had a time of 9.69, which placed her sixth.

In the 4×400 the Tigers had junior Kat Vogt, Nelson, sophomore Kiley Hejtmanek, and junior Danie Parriott, where they had a time of 3:59.61, which placed them first.

In the high jump was freshman Katelynn Kratz, who had a mark of 1.54m, which placed her fourth along with junior Elenna Koenig, who placed 11th with a mark of 1.44m. In the pole vault, having a mark of 3.60m was junior Kennedy Stanley, where she placed first. In 9th was freshman Mariah Tessman, who had a mark of 3.05m. Finishing in 10th was junior Jerzi Maher with a mark of 3.05m, and having a mark of 2.75m was junior Natalee Keodouangdy, which placed her 13th.

Jumping into the long jump was freshman Kyra Bowen, who had a mark of 4.54m, which placed her 10th, along with junior Abby Rehtus, who had a mark of 4.13m, which placed her 14th. Receiving first place in the triple jump was Garrett, who had a mark of 11.66m, along with Rosalyn Roggasch, who placed second with a mark of 11.58m. Placing fourth was junior Kyla Davis with a mark of 10.44m.

Going into shot put was senior Alivia Baucom, who placed second with a mark of 13.93m, and placing third was senior Madison Sutton, who had a mark of 13.70m. Tying for sixth were freshmen Madison Heusinkvelt and Payton Cast, who both had a mark of 12.61m.

In the weight throw was Sutton, who placed first with a mark of 17.33m, and placing third was junior Mia Knigge, who had a mark of 16.63m. Placing 15th was senior Alyvia Thomas, who had a mark of 13.55m, and 17th was sophomore Natylie Myers, who had a mark of 13.19m.

On Jan. 25, the Tigers were back in action as they traveled to Seward to compete in the Concordia Classic.

In the 60m, sophomore Neryah Hekl placed second with a time of 7.72, and in third place was Thompson, who had a time of 7.84. Finishing in eighth was Mahoney, who had a time of 8.04.

Running in the 400m was Vogt who placed first with a time of 58.42, along with Hejtmanek, who had a time of 1:01.49, which placed her third. Also running in the 400m was sophomore Caydence Kuss, who had a time of 1:08.63, which placed her 23rd, and junior Morgan Smith, who had a time of 1:10.06, which placed her 26th.

In the 600m was Nelson, who placed fourth with a time of 1:40.45, along with sophomores Madison and Emily Lytle. Madison received seventh with a time of 1:49.96 and Emily had a time of 1:53.28, which placed her eighth.

Placing seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:34.23 was freshman Marissa Miles, and in ninth was freshman Allison Ernst, who had a time of 2:36.37. In the 1000m was Danie Parriott, who had a time of 3:10.54, which placed her in fifth, along with sophomore Gabby Maryott, who placed seventh with a time of 3:37.08. Competing in the mile was junior Maddy Ramey, who placed 20th with a time of 5:43.04.

In the 3000m was freshman Kenzy Lippold, who placed ninth with the time of 11:16.23, and in 10th was sophomore Delaney Catron, who had a time of 11:17.91. Finishing in 13th with a time of 11:31.38 was sophomore Laura Hasemann, and in 20th with a time of 12:24.59 was freshman Katelyn Iwata.

Placing third in the 5000m with a time of 19:58.49 was freshman Alison Bradford, and placing sixth was freshman Kenzie Spencer, who had a time of 22:23.41.

In the high jump was Katelynn Kratz, who placed seventh with a mark of 1.55m. In the long jump was Kyra Bowen, who had a mark of 5.04m, placing her ninth. In the triple jump was Abby Rehtus, who had a mark of 10.02m, which placed her 12th.

In shot put was freshman Grace Dean, who had a mark of 12.97m, placing her first, along with Ashton Thoms, who placed 20th with a mark of 10.02m.

 In the weight throw was Alyvia Thomas, who had a mark of 14.29m, which placed her seventh, along with freshman Payton Cast, who placed 13th with a mark of 13.28m. Placing 14th was freshman Trinity Becher, who had a mark of 13.24m, and in 15th was Kallie Sutton, who had a mark of 13.02m. Having a mark of 12.60m was freshman Ashley Dierks, who placed 21st, and in 26th was Ashton Thoms, who had a mark of 12.09m. Finishing up for the Tigers was Grace Dean, who had a mark of 11.92m, which placed her 27th.

On Feb. 1, the Tigers will be competing in the Fred Beile Classic at Fuhrer Field House.
