On Jan. 29, the Men’s Basketball team played an away conference game against Mount Marty University. In a hard game, the Tigers ended up losing by a very close score, 75-73. A game that was decided by some untimely luck, where any play could have decided the final result. Doane’s conference record is 4-10, while the overall record for the season is 9-13. The most important player in the loss was senior Brady Timm, who scored 25 points and had three assists—a strong performance for Timm despite the defeat. Apart from that, the game featured a good performance by sophomore Jack Wilson, who got 10 rebounds.
Going into the Tigers’ next game, they played a home conference game against Northwestern College. The Tigers lost 101-87 with a great offensive performance but were unable to keep pace. Doane’s conference record is 4-11, while the overall record for the season is 9-14. The team aims to improve its results as the end of the season approaches and hopes to finish strong, especially in the conference.
The most important player in the loss was senior Brady Timm, who scored 34 points, got four rebounds and had six assists. Timm has been doing huge performances in the last few games and is trying to change the team´s direction during the last part of the season.
The next game the Doane Tigers will play is against Briar Cliff University on Feb. 8 in Sioux City, Iowa. The game will start at 3:45 p.m.
