On April 15, the Baseball team played a nine-inning game against Bellevue University at home, where they fell 13-7.
Seniors Johnny Vulcano and Aaron Vulcano both went 3-for-4. Sophomore Cade Bridges (2-1) pitched two innings and struck out one in the loss.
Over the weekend, the Baseball team traveled to Orange City, Iowa, for a four-day tournament against Northwestern College, winning three games and losing one.
In the first game against the Red-Raiders, Aaron Vulcano went 2-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs, while senior Logan Amick went 2-for-4 in the 10-2 win. Junior Kaden Crawford (6-1) went the distance for the Tigers, striking out seven.
In game 2, which the Tigers won 13-4, junior Sam Kwapnioski went 2-for-5 with two home runs and 6 RBIs. Sophomore Riley Plummer (7-0) picked up the win, pitching six innings and striking out six.
The Tigers won the third game 16-4. Returning senior Justin Nevells was 2-for-4 with a home run and 5 RBIs, while junior Nicholas Yard (3-2) picked up the win, striking out three over five innings.
In the final game against the Red-Raiders, Kwapnioski went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in the 7-3 loss. Taiyo Takahashi also homered.
Next up, the Baseball team will be back at home for their last game of the season on April 25-26 with games set to start at 1 p.m.
