The Guild held a smashing tournament of Mario Kart and Super Mario Smash Bros. On Tuesday, Sept 9. Students gathered around Smith Basement, where the Guild meets every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., to join the tournament. This appearance was met with different students and members of the E-Sports team.
Concessions were also available, which included candy, chips and different drinks.
The first 30 minutes were dedicated to practicing for the tournament. In total, there were three TVs set up, a Nintendo Switch and a desktop. Allowing many people to play at the same time, or to play while it wasn’t their turn.
Participants were randomly assigned to play against each other, and winners would continue to progress into the game. After 9:00 p.m., a winner was declared: junior William Howard.
