Although living life on the edge is a fun thing, sometimes we overlook the small things in life that are actually important. Finding the next thrill or getting ready to go on the next big adventure is fun, but it also makes us overlook the more important things in life, like family dinners, hanging out with friends or even enjoying the outside air.
We find that in society, we really praise going on big adventures, making risky decisions and doing everything to try and gain success, which is all great. But it’s like what Ferris Bueller once said, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
So go ahead, study for that test, go on those big adventures, do anything to make yourself better, but also go on a walk, go talk to that person you secretly have a crush on, take time for yourself and call your mom, because it’s the little things that matter.
