I just noticed something strange while glancing at the calendar. The end of the semester is literally 60 days away. The clock is already running out, even though it seems like we just returned to Crete after the break.
To be honest, there is a stressful atmosphere on campus now. While half of us are worried about the summer, the other half are just trying to get by after the midterms. For my part, I still don’t know what I’m doing. I can’t decide whether to stay in Nebraska to work, return home to travel, or look for something else. It’s that strange “limbo” where you feel like you should know everything, but you just don’t.
The problem is that I am aware that I am not alone in this emotion. Every day I see it in the library and the coffee shop. Most of us are in the same situation as those we see on Instagram or LinkedIn who appear to have their entire life planned out. While determining the next course of action, we are merely attempting to strike a balance between sports and classes.
Still, 60 days is a lot of time. We don’t need to freak out yet. Let’s just finish these classes, and everything else will probably work out.
