Women’s Golf took two teams on the short trip to Lincoln on April 7 and 8 to play in the Concordia Bulldog Spring Invite.
Doane A placed second overall, playing a three-round total of 984 (327-326-331). Sophomore Connie Jarm placed second individually with a 234 total. Team Captain senior Kaitlyn Dumler tied for fourth with a 240 total.
Jarm led the A team through all three rounds, consistently shooting under 80 on a par 72 course. She shot two strokes under par on the 17th hole of Highlands golf course in the first round.
Doane B placed tenth. Freshmen Emmarie Miles and Isabelle Johnson led the B team, tying for 38th with 271 totals.
Jarm said she believed she did well despite the windy and cold weather. “I think the team will do well and try our best,” Jarm said of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). “We know we need to work on ourselves and as a team.”
Women’s Golf’s next tournament will be the Doane Invite on April 13 and April 14. They will be playing in Lincoln on the Wilderness Ridge and Pioneers Golf courses and bringing seventeen players to compete.
