Track and Field hosts final home meet

On Feb. 2 and 3, the Doane Tigers participated in the Fred Beile Classic at Fuhrer Field House.

Starting off with the women’s team in the field events, first with pole vault taking home first place was freshman Kaylee Pribyl vaulting a height of 3.67m. Following Pribyl was sophomore Kennedy Stanley, with a height of 3.47m placing her at third.

Taking home first in the triple jump was sophomore Josie Garrett with a jump of 12.10m. Following Garrett was sophomore Rosalyn Roggasch having a jump of 11.48m, and following her was junior Lindsay Adams with 11.37m. Along with that, Adams had a jump of 5.38m in the long jump.

Looking at the throwers Sydney Biermann walked away with fourth in shot put with a throw of 12.58m. In the weight throws, senior Macy Fuller had a throw of 17.04m placing third in the event.

Running over to the away with first place in the 60m dash having a time of 7.74 was freshman Neryah Hekl. Going into the 200m having a time of 27.20 placing her eighth was freshman Kiley Hejtmanek. Walking away with first place in the 400m having a time of 58:61 was sophomore Katie Vogt.

Going into the distance events, taking home first place in the 600m with a time of 1:39.67 was sophomore Danie Parriott. Freshman Emily Lytle ran in the 800m with a time of 2:32.33. Finishing ninth in the 1000m was sophomore Maddy Ramey.

Running in the mile the Tigers had freshman Laura Hasemann placing sixth with a time of 5:41.04. Placing fourth in the 3000m was sophomore Calla Wittland having a time of 11:28.26.

Jumping over the hurdles in the 60m was Garrett having a time of 8:94 placing her third. In the women’s 4×400 relay team Vogt, freshman Chaney Nelson, Hejtmanek, and Adams walked away with first place, having a time of Switching over to the men’s side, going into field events walking away with first place in pole vault having a height of 4.65m was senior Mike Pulliam. Continuing with jumps and also walking away with first in the long jump having a length of 6.70m was freshman Cameron Leeling. In the triple jump having a length of 13.65m was senior Trevor Malone.

Going into throws the Tigers had sophomore Andrew Schmitz who threw a 15.38m in shot put along with that he also had a throw of 17.41m in weight throws placing him fifth. Walking away with third in the weight throw having a length of 17.93m was junior Trey Dickey.

Traveling over to Lincoln to compete in the Husker Invitational was senior Zach Turner where he walked away with fourth place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7:85. Competing over at the Bearcat Invitational was the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team, which consisted of sophomores Emmanuel Yego freshman Eli Marez, and senior Thomas Oliver having a time of 10:13.28.

Back at home, taking home first in the 60m dash having a time of 6.96 was junior JaDae Moore. Going into the 200m with a time of 22:95 was senior Chris Vincent and in the 400m having a time of 52:11 was junior Will Wenz who both placed second in their events.

After running the DMR, walking away with first in the 600m with a time of 1:20.78 was Gutierrez. In the 800m having a time of 1:58.39, and walking away with first was Micheal Grigby.

In the distance events, placing fourth in the 1000m with a time of 2:51.23 was (?) Jeremiah Ardnt. Running in the mile was freshman Kale Maguire having a time of 4:55.26 placing him twenty first. Finally in the 5000m was junior Jakob Tadlock, having a time of 16:27.61, placing him ninth. Jumping over the hurdles in the 60m was freshman Sander Zutterman, having a time of 8:71, placing him third. Concluding the meet was the 4x400m relay team which consisted of freshman Zach Fox, sophomores Jordan Kwiatkowski and Dakota Miser, and Junior Will Wenz, having a time of 3:30.85, placing first.

Closing out the indoor season, the Tigers will be traveling to Seward for the Concordia Invite on Feb. 9.
