Men’s Soccer had two home games this week against Concordia University and Dakota Wesleyan University.
On Sept. 23, Men’s Soccer played Concordia University, where the Tigers lost to the Bulldogs 1-2.
In the first half, neither team scored. In the second half, junior Cohen Hubbard scored the only goal, with an assist from senior Tadeo Loutayf. Concordia scored two goals in the final minutes.
The Tigers’ shots on goal came from Hubbard and sophomore Mateo Jelicich, who had two shots, with junior Franklin Cevallos and sophomore Fernando Moldes each having one. The Tigers’ goalie, freshman Gabriel Lara, was able to save six goals.
The Tigers then played Dakota Wesleyan University on Sept. 26. The Tigers won 1-0. No one scored in the first half.
Early in the second half, senior Diego Villarreal scored the first goal. Villarreal led the team with three shots on goal, with Luhay Calvo, Hubbard, Jelicich, and Loutayf each scoring one. Lara saved two shots on goal.
The next Men’s Soccer game is on Oct. 3 against Waldorf University at 5:30 p.m. in Forest City, Iowa.
